There are many factors to consider such as property value, repairs, and the construction process itself. At Northstar Construction, we prioritize open communication with our clients before beginning the design phase. Our aim is to address all your concerns and preferences up front to ensure your satisfaction and a smooth process. With our skilled team and specialized tools, we're committed to bringing your vision to life.
During our initial meetings we will discuss your vision, budget, and the needs that you want to incorporate into your new home. From there we will handle everything. We will collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to create a custom home design that meets your needs and complies with local building codes and regulations. It is our responsibility to obtain all necessary permits and approvals from local authorities before construction can begin. We handle the fun stuff like getting building permits, environmental permits, and zoning variances. Once those necessary steps are complete, we move on to clearing the building site, grade the land as needed, and prepare the site for construction. We will pour the foundation according to the engineered plans, ensuring it is strong, level, and properly insulated. Once this is complete the fun begins! Construction of the framework of the home, including walls, floors, and roof structure will occur. Installation of windows, doors, and any necessary structural elements will happen. Then rough-in plumbing, electrical wiring, and HVAC ductwork get done according to the home's design and specifications. Once that is complete, we can begin to install insulation in walls, ceilings, and floors for energy efficiency and soundproofing. Hang the drywall and finish it with paint or other wall coverings.
The last part of the construction phase will entail the interior finishes. We will install flooring, trim, cabinetry, countertops, and fixtures throughout the home. Northstar Construction will coordinate with you to select materials and finishes that match your preferences. The same can be said for the exterior finishes. We will complete the exterior of the home with siding, roofing, windows, doors, and any additional features such as decks or porches that will make this your home! At this point we are in the home stretch. We will schedule inspections with local building inspectors to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations at various stages of construction and obtain final approvals before occupancy. This will also be your chance to walk through and identify any remaining issues or deficiencies. We will address these items and make any necessary repairs or adjustments to ensure the home exceeds your expectations. This will lead to the moment you envisioned before you set out on this journey, taking possession of your dream home! Northstar Construction will provide you with the keys to your new home and any relevant documentation, such as warranties and maintenance instructions.
